AUCKLAND SAVAGE CLUB.
With both gallery and hall packed, the Auckland Savage Club held its ladies' night in the Lewis Eady Hall on Saturday evening. Ihe excellent programme included original items peculiar "to the occasion, which was regarded as the major korero of the year. The rangatira, Mr F. X. Ambler, was installed in a humorous ceremony by Mr. H. McD. Vincent. The very pleasant evening closed with the appearance of savages on the stage wearing nightdresses and nightcaps, and carrying candles as they sang '*Good-ni (r ht Ladies." " '
