ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON
MRS. LEE COWIE HONOURED. For her friends to meet Mrs. Lee Cowic. who is now living in Honolulu, and who is visiting Auckland, the Women's Christian Temperance Union gave an enjoyable afternoon yesterday. Mrs. Lee Cowic is passing through Auckland to Australia and South Africa. The function was held in George Court and Son's tea rooms, which were colourful with early spring blooms. Mrs. Lee Cowic gave an interesting address. and also informed her hearer*' that she was attending the W.C.T.I'. mission in London in dune of next year. Guests at the official table included: Mrs. Hugh Kasper. Mrs. A. L. Lewis. Mrs. J. Joiner, Mrs. Christopher, Mi:-. McClcgalin, Mrs. Brokehurst, Mr-. Holmes, Mrs. Pickering, Mrs. L. Zillund, Mrs. Cook. Mrs. Geddis. Mrs. Robinson. Mrs. Hunter. Miss L. M. Lead. Miss Dewar, Miss Keighlcv and Miss Lovatt.
