DOMINION PRODUCTIONS.
One of the outstanding features of the non-stop variety show to be presented by Mr. George F. Kox at the Town Hall Concert Chamber this evening is an interesting sketch, "How Talkies are Made," by Jack Lester, late of Alexander Korda Film Productions. Special lighting and microphone effects have been arranged for this particular item, which is entirely new to Auckland. The "Sydney Morning Herald - ' says of the eight acrobatic wonders, who also appear in the show: "Snappy dances followed each other in quick succession, and the climax came with a dizzy whirl of all manner of tricks." One of Dominion Productions' "discoveries" is .Tack McGill, monologuist. His rendition of "'"The Shooting of Dan McGrew," with cilects, is a gem. Another supporting artist is Tony Savage, the wizard of the piano-accordion, who will render the popular "Sir Echo." Aucklanders will welcome the re-appearance of June Barson in solo numbers and in delightful duets in association with her talented sister Patricia. Details are advertised.
