HARBOUR BRIDGE.
" UNDER CONSIDERATION." (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The proposed Wuitemata Harbour bridge was mentioned in the House of Representatives yesterday, when Ministerial replies to questions were under consideration. Mr. W. J. Lyon (Government, Waitemata) had given notice to ask the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, whether his attention had been drawn to the fact that 31 local bodies had recently passed resolutions praying the Government to set up an inquiry in regard to the proposed bridge, and whether he would indicate what action the Government proposed to take. "My attention has been drawn to the fact that local bodies have passed resolutions praying the Government to set up an inquiry, and the matter is under consideration," was the brief reply made by the Prime Minister.
