Markets Undisturbed By Huge Borrowing. ASTRONOMICAL FINANCE. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LOXDOX, July 14. Sir John Simon's sweeping decision to raise the year's borrowing total to C 000.000.000 scarcely stirred a ripple in the markets, which have become inured to astronomical Una nee. Foreign bonds generally were firmer, despite continued uncertainties, with the exception of Far East issues, which again fell sharply.
ECONOMIC- PLANNING. MOVE BY AXIS POWERS. (Received 11 a.m.) BERLIN, July 14. It is reported that an important economic conference will shortly meet under the leadership of the .Axis Powers, to discuss the introduction of the "mostfavoured nation" clause by the Central and South-east European bloc under the leadership of Italy and Germany.
