RECENT PROMOTIONS.
Owing to recent retirements in the New Zealand Railways staff the following promotions have been made: —Mr. D. E. Wilton, chief clerk at Napier, to be assistant goods agent at Auckland; Mr. P. Sword, stationmaster at Mount Eden, to be chief clerk at Napier; Mr. R. J. S. Weeber, stationmaster at Mataroa, to be stationmaster at Mount Eden; Mr. J. Bennett, senior clerk at Otahuhu, to be stationmaster at Upper Hutt.
