OBITUARY.
MR. A. H. McINTYRE. ELLERSLIE DEPUTY-MAYOR. The death has occurred of Mr. Albert Hutchison Mclntyre, deputy-Mayor. of Ellerslie. Mr. Mclntyre was born at Clevedon 49 years ago and took a keen interest in civic affairs. A member of the Labour party, he was councillor on the Ellerelie'Town Board for eight years
and was the first deputy-Mayor when Ellerslie became a borough last year. He was a past chairman of the Ellerslie School Committee, past chairman of the Newmarket branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, and a member of the Caledonian Society.
Interested in all sporting events and a keen follower of the turf, Mr. Mclntyre was at one time vice-president of the Ellerslie Rugby League Football Club and was a past president of the Ellerslie Amateur Athletic Association. He was also twice chief ranger of the Ancient Order of Foresters, Ellerslie branch.
