"QUIZZOGRAPHS."

A NEW COMPETITION. CASH PRIZES OFFERED. "N.Z. WEEKLY." Details of an appealing new competition, "Quizzographs," with prizes in cash, are to be found in this week's issue of the "Xew Zealand Woman's Weekly." This competition, which is a test of brains and common sense, will run for six weeks, and is open to all readers without entry fee. There also appears this week with the first of a new and brighter Tarzan feature, "Tarzan and the Leopard Men."

Under the title, "Japan To-day," there is a most interesting article extending over two pages and dealing with bridal customs in the Flowery Land. Midwifery in Japan will be the subject of an article in next week's magazine. Another feature article describes the unusual drawings— most intricate and beautiful designs—done by a young woman while under some unseen influence. Two drawings illustrate the article. There is also the story of a young Xew Zealand woman who is returning to Christchurch after making fame as a crooner in various lands. An 'interview" with dogs owned by famous film stars in Hollywood make* bright reading. The woman reader of the magazine will be especially interested in the pa~e of fashions which on this occasion illustrates apparel for sports anion, the snow. r lbere are directions given for the knitting of a jumper in ribbing and stocking stitch, as well as a pinaforetrock for the girl of five vears.
