WAR VETERANS ENROL
FOOTBALLERS AND FARMERS.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. An intensification in interest in the recruiting appeal was strongly evident in Wanjranui when 300 Great War veterans, paraded as a body under the auspices of the Returned Soldiers' Association, marched to the Drill Hall to enrol. Twenty-eight members of the Pirates Kugby Club also joined up in a body. The Fordell and Westmere branches of loung larmers' Clubs are forming a troop for the Wellington-West Coast Mounted Rifles and the Bulls Youmr Farmers Club is forming a unit for the -uanawatu Mounted Rifles.
