WEATHER FORECAST.

FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Moderate easterly winds, becoming variable and later turning west to north-west. Weather mainly cloudy, but some scattered rains are still probable. Temperatures moderate. Seas rather rough, but decreasing on the east coast and slight to moderate, but later rising, on the west coast. The depression in the north has moved slowly eastwards, but pressure is falling again, more especially in the south, with the advance of a depression across the Tasman Sea. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, east north-east, fresh; sea. rough, moderate; weather, cloudy, with passing misty rain; visibility, poor; barometer, steady.
