THE COWS IN THE GARDEN.
I, had a terrible dream last • night. I dreamed the.cows got into the garden. I could plainly see the bull tossing the cabbages and cauliflowers in every direction and pawing the ground. The cows appeared to be having the feed of their lives. I could see the peas and beans partly devoured and trampled into the ground, then some of the cows looked up, and I could almost hear them eav, "Do not turn us out. If you do you will get less milk." Then in the distance I heard the barking of dogs and the clattering of horses' hoofs, together with the crack of a stockman's whip which woke me up. Yes. it was a strange, vivid dream. DREAMER.
