WHANGAREI EXHIBITION.
LARGE CROWDS ATTEND.
(By Telegraph—Own «'orrespondent.) WHAXCARET, this day. Despite showers yesterday afternoon the Whangarei Winter Exhibition attracted large numbers of visitors, especially children, a party of whom came from Dargaville. The children displayed keen interest in the various exhibits, especially the bacon display, while the agricultural section was given close attention. Again last evening there was another large attAdance, the figures showing an improvement on the record first night. To-day marked the opening of the poultry show, and this afternoon Maori entertainers provided an added attraction. The chief attraction this evening will be 1 " novelty tug-o'-wars.
