WEATHER FORECAST.
TOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Fresh to strong easterly winds, later moderating and turning to south-east-erly or southerly. Weather overcast, with intermittent rain, but an improvement is advancing from the west. Temperatures mild. Seas rough on the east coast and slight to moderate on the west coast. A slow-moving disturbance is centred north of Cape Maria Van Riemen, while pressure has fallen over Tasmania. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, ea3t north-east, high wind; sea. rough; weather, overcast, with misty rain; visibility, poor; barometer, falling.
