WORLD FACES GRIM CHOICE THIS SUMMER.

FRENCH WARNING.

Peaceful Collaboration Or

Domination.

DALADIER'S GRAVE OUTLOOK

United Press Association.—Copyright.

(Received 12 noon.) LONDON, June 27. Before the summer prorogation of the Chamber of Deputies, M. Daladier, envisaging "the worst international situation for 20 years," says the "Daily Telegraph" Paris correspondent, announced that two classes of conscripts must remain with the colours after the autumn instead of enjoying the customary discharge. ' The Prime Minister said that the summer would be troubled and tormented. Three million men, excluding para-military formations, hold the .frontiers. Feverish activity reigned iu armament factories. Early troop concentrations would be important. Foreign propagandists had attempted to create differences among Frenchmen to impair Franco-British solidarity, without which the salvation of Europe and the"world would be hopeless.

The Government, therefore, was further reinforcing national defence and adding £85,000,000 to the sum already spent. M. Daladier continued: "I am convinced that we are faced this summer with the choice between peaceful collaboration between peoples or domination by some of them. Appeasement alone is insufficient. "France will raise all her forces against possible ventures towards domination. The Government will take, if necessary, all measures on its own responsibility." This is interpreted as meaning a two years' postponement of elections, but M. Daladier added that the recess might be briefer than they imagined, hinting at grave international possibilities.
