GLEN EDEN PROTEST.
CENTENNIAL FUND OFFER.
A largely attended meeting of ratepayers of Glen Eden wa« held in the Toe H Hall yesterday to protest aiainst the Town Board's offer of £150 to the Centennial fund for the Waitftkere Park scheme when the allocation, ac cording to the schedule «tiggested by the Mayor of Auckland, would be approximately £46. The meeting unanimously decided to appoint a deputation to wait on the chairman of the board to call a public meeting to reconsider their decision. Petitions were distributed and were readily signed by indignant ratepayers who considered the money could be spent to better advantage in the district.
