ROTARIANS MEET.
LARGE ATTENDANCE.
There was a large attendance at today's lunch meeting of the Auckland Rotary Club held in Milne and Choyce'e reception hall. The president, Rotarian W. E. Lewisham, occupied the chair and among the visitors were: Captain G. J. Godwin (Melbourne!, Messrs? W. Ji Buckley (Harrowgate, England), G. Von Glohor (Java), J. Chafe (Winnipeg), R. G. V. Fear (Sydney). Malcolm Fraser, F. Campbell, G. W. Rees Jones, D. C. Peacock, W. W. Stevens (Wellington) and J. Newman (Nelson).
The chairman stated that Rotarian Harry Ooldie' had been appointed a past service member in recognition of the outstanding service he had rendered to Rotary.
A brief account was given by District Governor Goo. Hutchison of the International Rotary Conference at Cleveland, Ohio.
The speaker of the day was Mr. Forbes Eadie. who spoke on the subject, "The Cruise of the Mermaid." The vote of thanks was moved by Rotarian PercyHarrison.
