DAVIS CUP PRACTICE.
Hopman remarked after the week r end's hard practicing: "Bromwich and Quist will do all the work," thus indicating his plans to send the strongest combination against the Mexicans in order to avoid the risk of a first-round upset, say* a cable message received to-day from Mexico City.
Hopman was satisfied with Bromwich, who was hit.ing the hall cleanly, and said that Quist wo* working extra hard, as he feels he still needs practice.
In a practice match Quist and Bromwich had a long second set duel with Crawford and Hopman. The first-named pair lost the first set 3—6. but took the next 12—10. Bromwich paired by Hopman beat Quiet and Crawford, 6 —4,
