FLOATING IN HARBOUR.
MAN'S BODY RECOVERED. cßy Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Sunday. Shortly after one o'clock this afternoon the police recovered from the steamer basin the body of a middleaged man floating alongside the Rattray Street wharf, not far from the stern of the German steamer Naumberg. The body was that of a man between 40 and 50 years of age, and apparently had been only a short time in the water, since in the pocket of the clothing was a copy of a Christchureh evening paper of yesterday. The police are of the opinion that deceased had been a seaman. There were no papers of any description on the body which might assist in identification.
