FROM A GOOD FAMILY. The Central Otago owner Mr. F. C. Christie, who has Xightcalm and Monteasa at Riccarton. under the care of C. Emerson, has placed a yearling filly in ' the same stable. She is by Nigger Minstrel from Vain, a sister to Blazon, by Paladin from Heraldry, by Clarenceux from Lady Holyrood, by Golden Knight from Floradora. by Stepniak or Gipsy Grand from Rosespur. The progeny of ' Rosespur included Goldspur, one of the I most brilliant sprinters of his period, j about forty years ago.
