FAREWELL PARTY.
EX-SERVICE WOMEN.
MEMBER HONOURED.
In honour of Mrs. C. Jacob, Hon Solocitor, who will shortly leave New Zealand to reside in 'England the members of the Auckland ifix-hervice Women's Association held a farewell party in the Overseas League rooms on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Jacob has been an active member of the association for many years and her husband has also given valuable service aa honorary secretary. The president of the association, Miss E. M. Nutsey, M.8.E., A.R.R.C., presented Mrs. Jacob with a miniature of the association's badge and spoke of her j valuable work among the returned men in Auckland. Mr-. E. M. Gould past president, presented Mrs. Jacob with a posy of violets tied with ribbons in the association's colours and Mrs T R Michael*, senior life member, presented Miss Nutsey with a bouquet. Muring the afternoon Miss M. Dennl* son gave recitations and Mrs. Keith Buchanan san s several vocal solos, including a Maori farewell. The acoom. pnnist was Mrs. Preston Thomas.
