ST. ANDREWS SOCIETY.
St. Andrew's Society, of Xew Lynn, held their monthly " ingleside in' St. Andrew's Hall. Xew Lynn, on Saturday, when a large gathering of members and friends enjoyed a splendid programme The chief, Mr. W. Kay, was piped in with the usual honours by Piper MeKelJar, while representatives from the following societies were also jiiped in: St Andrew's (ladies' auxiliary), St Andrew's (City), Oneliunga, Otahuhu', Devon port and Sandringham Caledonian Societies.
Items were given by Mrs. Black, Mrs. Massicks, Messrs. Spicor, Peters and R. McLean (elocutionist), while the Xew Lynn Foursome delighted with Highland dancing. The-dancers were presented with a small gift from Mrs. W Kav wife of the chief. * *
Another presentation took place when the chief handed over to Mrs. Mavern official pianist, a gift of cutlery from the council and members. Dancing" was then carried on with zest to music supplied by Messrs. Allen. Kay and Jack. The duties of master of ceremonies were ably carried out by Clueftain D. Campbell, while the ladies served supper
