CLEARANCE OF JERSEYS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI. this day. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Ltd.. reports holding n successful clearing sale on account of Mr. Harding Hawken, of Maiinu. on luovsdny. when there was a large attendance f >r buyers. The herd, which consisted of j<) Jersey cows, came forward in only fair condition, a number aged Selling exceptionally well, the whole' herd averaged £0 13/9, and exclusive of unsound cows the average was £9 17/9 Returns and calving dates were given. There was not a very keen inquiry for the young cattle, plant and sundries. Best young cows, early calvers. made irom £13 to £15; good young cows, later calvers, £10 to £12 15/; late and aged cows £5 5/ to £8; heifers in milk, £6 to £7 10/; heifer caJves, £2 12 ; 6- breeding sowe, £4 17/6.
