YEAR'S DfVTOENO 12 PER CENT.

EMPLOYEES' BONUS 7% PER CENT. The directors of Dominion Breweries, Limited, have decided to recommend shareholders to declare a dividend at the rate of 12 per cent per annum, calculated on the amount paid up on all 6hares from time to time during the year ended March 31, less interim dividend paid in December, 1938. The proposed payment is the final distribution for the year ended March 31. | Tlie interim dividend of 11 per cent per , annum was equal to £5 10/ per cent on I fully-paid shares for the six months and the final rate, on the basin of calculation, provides a further £6 10/ per cent for six months, making 12 per cent for the year on fully-paid shares and 12 per cent on the amount paid up from time to time on the contributing snares which during the period have become fully paid. In the previous year shareholders received 10 per cent, against 9 per cent in 1937. ( The directors also propose to pay a bonus of 7% per cent on wages and salaries to employees of the Waitemata Brewery, the town depot and head office. EXPANSION. WANGANUI GLASS COMPANY. PLANT AND BUILDINGS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. Extensions to plant and building are to be made by the Wanganni Glass Company, Ltd. This is the forerunner to further additions. The company started operations in 1920 with a staff of three and now employs 30. ten of these having been taken on during the last year. Protections given to New Zealand industries have resulted in increased orders.
