OBITUARY.
MR. FREDERICK BRYANT. (From Our Correspondent.) PALMERSTOX XORTH, Tuesday. The death has occurred of Mr. Frederick Bryant, a well-known Palmerston North resident, at the ajre <>f VS. Mr. Bryant was born in Auckland. living there for a while and then in Thames. In iss:{ he came to Palineixton Xorth and successfully established himself in business. He took up fanninjr lii years later, ai-(|liirill<; an extensive acreage at Sliaiillim, where lie was still one of the larjrest landholders at the time of liis death. F<e also had property in I'alinerston Xorth. He was. dliriiifr his earlier years, a keen buwler. and was also a prominent Mason.
MRS. C. B. JORDAN
A very old resident of Xortheote, Mrs. Charlotte Betty Jordan, died yesterday at the age of 77 years. Mrs. Jordan was the wife of Mr. Krick Jordan, who. until a few years was in business at N'orthcote as a carrier. After her marriage in Dniiediii. Mis. Jordan spent si\ months at Sydney prior to settling at Napier. About 40 years ajio Mr. and Mrs. Jordan moved to Xortheote and had lived there ever since. Mrs. Jordan is survived by her husband and four daughters and four sons.
