BOXING.
TOM HEENEY'S RECORD. Particulars of Tom Heeney's career in regard to the world championship are sought by C. G. W. Heeney had only one fight for the championship, that against Gene Tunney in July, 1928, when he was beaten in the eleventh round on a technical knock-out. The bout took place at New York. Tunney had won the championship from Jack Demipsey the previous September at Chicago.
