A motor cyclist, Mr. William Roland Level, single, apod 20, a cook and baker, of Auckland, i* lying in a critical condition in the Te Kuiti Hospital as the reniilt of a collision at Tangitu Junction, 20 miles south of T<> Kuiti, yesterday. The cycle struck the van a glancing hlow and Mr. Levet's head struck a projecting door liinjje. the skull being fractured. A pillion rider; Frederick John Dempeey, formerly of Gteborne and now of Auckland, escaped with a shock. The driver of the van was Mr. Carl Herbert Schmidt, of Auckland. Captain H. M. Rushworth wie a witneee of the accident and rendered assistance.
