(From Our Own Correspondent.) SYDNEY, June 9. The proprietor of a business known as the "Self Multiplication Agency" was lined £-")0 in the Central Summons Court yesterday for having permitted an office to be used for the disposal of money bychance. - According to a constable, who invested £1 in the scheme, returns growing from 10/ in the first stage to £-">4<> 10/ in the seventh were promised. The constable said he was told that when he enrolled three j>eople in the scheme he would receive 10/ commission. Each of these three people in turn would get three more and so the scheme would grow. The constable added that he found slips in the office showing that £71 had been banked on the day of his visit. The man who was charged. Charles Campbell Ryan, publisher, admitted that before anyone could re<-eive £-">4<> 10/ in commission 1100 new agents would have to be enrolled.
