The third American revue company to be brought to New Zealand by Sir Benjamin Fuller. "Funz-a-Poppin"' is to open itf season at His Majesty s Theatre with a matinee on Saturday next. .June 17. The previous two .-hc .w.s brought out by Sir Benjamin, the Marcus Show and the Hollywood Hotel Revue, proved j;reat sue-t-eases and the well-known theatrical entrepreneur claims that his latest will be even more popular than they. Featured in I" unz-a-Pt»ppin" are "Salici'g Parisian Puppets, ' one of the most renowned marionette shows in the world. These have become famous in Europe and they scored signal successes in America before leaving for this country. The puppets are ainazinsrly life-like and as versatile as they are agile.
' P'' nz " a "P°PPin" includes as well numerous first-class human artists, Ross and Edwards, comedians, Carr Brothers and Betty, Tommy "Bozo" Snyder, panto* mimic comedian. Green and Lanjr, known as the Nelson Eddy and .Teanette Mac-Don-ald of variety, Loretta Grey, the ''pepperpot comedienne." the Van Twins. Jack Bickle, acrolKitie dancer, and the Twelve Debutantes, ballerinas, are some of the outstanding members of the company. Bobbie Morris, popular comedian of the Hollywood Hotel Revue company, is another who is featured. Booking arrangements are advertised.
