GOLF CLUBHOUSE.
OPENING AT MANUKAU. The new clubhouse of the Mauukau <;olf Club will be officially opened to-morrow when the annual match will be played between Pukfkohe and Manukau for the Kalfnur IrviiK- Cup. the donor being the president of the Manukau Club.
I loublp storeyed. in modern Spanish style. the new clubhouse is brightly finished in cream and red. The ground Hnor comprises a larze dininc room kitchPiiette and men's ami women's cloak rooms, locker rooms and offices. The total upstairs spae P is occupied by the lount-es. spacious windows giving n inagiiiHei'iit outlook over the eiiurse and a picturesque 'view of the surrounding country.
The erection of the clubhouse marks an important advance in the pi-ogress of tho Manukau Club. Formed in the early years of the depression as » result of an amalgamation by tho Ellerslie Club and the Mnnurewa Club, after an option had been secured on land by tho Mahia Stream, Hie club has soundly established itself in the last live years.
