At last night's meeting of the control board of the Auckland Rugby League a grant from the board for the Northland v " Taranakl New Zealand trial match, at I Auckland ou June 24, was acknowledged by I the National Council. In the curtain-raiser at Carlaw Park last Saturday, Hadley (Richmond) and Quirke (Newton) were ordered off. and. after evidence was taken in committee, both players were suspended for one playing Saturdav. Dealing with player-insurance matters the secretary. Mr. Ivan Culpan. reported on a case which occurred on Monday.
