She landed 252 passengers and will remain i;i port until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, when she sails on her return to Sydney with about 2t>() passengers. Fine weather was experienced on the run across with fresh south westerly winds. The Xew Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Turakina arrived at the powder ground. Motuilii. at !*.40 a.m. to-day from Liverpool and West Coast ports. She has a quantity of explosives to discharge and may finish in time to berth late t<>moriciw afternoon. She will berth there as soon as she i« cleared by the port authorities. The Federal Lino steamer Huntingdon advises that she will arrive at :{ p.m. to-morrow, a day earlier than expected. She is from London, via Alexandria. Egypt, with i< shipment of aeroplanes for the Royal Xew Zealand Air Force, which will be assembled at Hobsoiiville. The ship will berth on the western side of Prince's wharf. Port Sydney is loading for London and West ('oa>t ports at Prince's wharf and is expected to leave for Wellington on Thursday. (X.Z.S. Co.) Port Chalmers, which is now loading for London at Central wharf, is expected to leave at 0 a.m. mi Monday for Gisborni,. (F. Co-op.) Matua sailed at midnight last night for Nukualofa, Apia, and Suva with n full complement of passengers. She returns on June 13. (L'.S.S. Co.) Rimutaka is discharging London cargo at Queen'si wharf and is expected to leave on Thursday for Wellington. (X.Z.S. Co.)
