ANOTHER PREPARATION.

Miller's gaiidance. ricked a joint while in Australia last spring. an<l a recurrence of the trouble after his return led to his being treated to a good spell- Flood Tide is a very capable handicap performer, who would need only to pome right to add a lot of interest to spring handicap events.

Triune is now at Takanini. having joined Velocipede at Mr. A. <T. B. Xorris" establishment. Triune is to stand a season at th<> stud, and according to reports is likely to have a frood first season. He was a very capable sprinter when at his best, and is a horse of comma ml im> physi(|ue. Crown (the Tea Tray jreldinj; in E. Pope's stable) has been eased in his work, owiiifr to fr»>iii{r a little shin soiv. l>iit he slionld soon respond to treatment. when his preparation will he further advanced. Hijzh Crown is regarded as a very promi-iliy jreldinjr.

J. H. Wallace has had a recent addition to his team in the .-liape of a lilly by Haceful from a full sister to I'arisian Diamond. A chestnut in colour the newcomer is 1( likely lookillfi filly.

A. Tinker has a very likely sort in a rising three-year-old lillv by Koxbridne — Klviiijr Juliet, who is known a> Klyinj Vixen. A I.lack in colour, she bearmany characteristics of her dam. who was a very jjimml performer, while she has a particularly nice action when allowed to move aloui;. Another of the same aye in 'he same stihle. is a bay lillv by Va;il<—Sea Sonjr. and while >h.' did not liim«t much size, hut she has done quite well as far as her preparation lias advanced.

No fault can he found with tho condition of Inquisitor, who will also face the starter next in the Carbine Plate. A hack who is always finishing <>n at the end of his races. Inquisitor is the type to take beating in a race of this description.
