CARD PARTY.
COMFORTS FOR SOLDIERS. To supply comforts to the returned soldiers in the Mental Hospital, a series of card parties have, been arranged to take place during the winter. A section of (ieorge Court and Sons' tea rooms was screened off yesterday afternoon, when the convener, Mrs. A. M. Gibson, gave a 500 party.
Among the players were: Mrs. T. Home, Mrs. A. K. Carter, Mrs. G. Cassidy, Mrs. P. Uifford. Mrs. A. Mearns, Mrs. R Probine. Mrs. T. Davenev, Mrs. F. W. Munn, Mrs. George Bell, Mrs. M. Davenev, Mrs. G. Daveney, Mrs. E. H. Crossan, Mrs. G. Harris. Mrs. M. Farmer, Mrs. D. Ellingworth, Mrs. P. J. Woodlock, Mrs. M. Bolwell, Mrs. E. McLachlan, Mrs. E. F.. Price, Mrs. C. H. Black, Mrs. A. Irvine, Mrs. N. Strong and Mrs. E. Beagles.
