SEPARATE CONTROL.
KING'S THEATRE, THAMES.
According to an announcement by the directors of Amalgamated Theatres Limited, the King's Theatre, Thames which has been operated in conjunction with the Regent Theatre, Thames, for the past four years, will, from now on, be controlled directly from the head office of Amalgamated Theatres in Auckland as a completely separate unit Irom the Regent Air. L. Solon has been transferred from the Mate I heatre, Masteiton, to manage the King e J heatre on behalf of the company.
There will be three changes weekly at the King s Theatre in the future and the films will be tdiown shortly alter screening in the company's first-release houses in Auckland. The opening programme under the new arrangement will be "Pygmalion," and this will be followed bv others of similarly high standard. The products of the greatest studios in the world will be released at the theatre and one coming in the near future will be the famous "You Can't Take It With You."
