VALUABLE CONSIGNMENT. SEVERAL FOR J. FRYER. One of the most valuable consicmroents ot thoroughbred stock to arrive in Melbourne for many rears came in the V\anganella from \> w Zealand last week. It comprised six hiHilv bred youngsters, which were purchased'at the national yearling sales at Wellington m January and cost their owners 3330gs at auction. Five of the youngsters belong to Mr. A. Crofts, and the other was purchased by Mr. C. Wheeler for a patron of Des. •Midds stable. Mr. Crofts visited New Zealand for the sales and he bought well as the youngsters are attractive types, well bred, and are certain to carry his colours to success in manv first-class races (says Cardigan). Mr. Croft's five are: B c. hv Beau Pere —Barhacan, b c, bv Solicitor-General— Homedale, br c, by Foxbridge—Rose Latour, b c. bv Tideraee—Slack Line, and a b f. by Bulandshar—High Art. The other voungster. which was taken charge of by D. Judd, is a colt by Tidal from Sicilian and is a brother to Grand Tour and a half-brother to Flootltide and Mai de Mer. He cost 3250s as a yearling. Mr. Croft"s yearlings, which cost more than 3000gs, are to be trained by J. Fryer and H. Freedm*n. Fiver will train the four colts and Freedniai'i the Bulandshar filly.
