Acceptances for the first dav of th» Auckland Racmjr Club's winter meeting and also the Great Northern Steeplechase, to be run on the second dav, close at o p.m. to-day. and will be published ui an edition of the "Star"' shortly after that hour.
A waterside worker. Mr. Joseph Grev, married, aged 50, of 12, .Spring Street] Ponsonby, suffered concussion when he was struck by a piece of iron while at work yesterday. He was admitted to the Auckland Hospital and his. condition this moving was satisfactory.
