WILL BE RECTIFIED.

MR. SAVAGE EMPHATIC.

TASK FOR PARLIAMENT.

QUESTION OF APPEAL.

"The position will have to be rectified. It will be rectified as soon as Parliament meets," was the comment of the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, when notified by long-distance telephone this afternoon of the contents of the judgment.

When asked if there was likely to be an appeal in the meantime, Mr. Savage said that that was a question for consideration by the Solicitor-General, who had handled the case in Court.

When it was suggested to the Prime Minister that it might be necessary to call Parliament earlier than the last week in June, as already announced, Mr. Savage said he was not able to say at the moment. "Whatever is necessary will be done," he said emphatically.
