SATURDAY'S WEDDING.

STEHR—TUSTEN.

ATTRACTIVE WHITE THEME. I St. Peter's Church. Takapuna. was prettily decorated with chrysanthemums and autumn foliage for the wedding on Saturday evening of Kdna Ina, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John K. Austen, of O'Neill's Avenue, Takapuna, to Edmund Arthur, youngest eon of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Stehr, of The Drive, Kpsom.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Hill Johnson, the organist being Mr. Jack French. During the ceremony a solo was sung by Mrs. H. Piatt, sister of the bridegroom.

The bride who was given away by her father, looked youthful and charming in her slim-fitting gown of pearl tinted slipper satin. It was cut on simple lines, and fell away to a long oval train. The bodice was draped and encrusted with pearls, and buttoned with tiny satin buttons to the waist. The sleeves, full at shoulder, were long and fitting, finishing in a point at the wrist. The veil was beaiitifully embroidered in lilies, and was held in place with a coronet of lace and pearls with the traditional orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white sweet peas, carnations, chrysanthemums and maiden hair fern.

Two bridesmaids escorted her up the aisle, Miss Cathella Holmes and Miss Beatrix Austen (sister of the bride). They wore very bouffant frocks of white net over white satin, banded with satin ribbon to the waist, and had matching boleros with very puffed sleeves. Each wore a halo of pink and mauve chrysanthemums. They carried shower bouquets of sweet peas, carnations and chrysanthemums in pastel tones.

The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Jack Jessop as best man, the groomsman being Mr. Ken King. The ushers at the church were Mr. William Foote and Mr. Robert Stehr.

A largely attended reception was held at "Beaconsfield," O'Neill's Avenue, when the rooms were gaily decorated with flo- crs of all kinds.

Mrs. Austen received her guests in a smart gown of fnschia georgette over taffeta, with a swathed Russian toque to match, and carried a bouquet of pink and mauve carnations. She was assisted by Mrs. Stehr who wore a charming navy ensemble with hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums and zinnias in autumn shades.

A large marquee was erected on the tennis lawn, the table decorations being carried out in pink and mauve. After the usual toasts were honoured, dancing was carried on to a late hour.
