LICENSEES MEET DR. SHORE.

AMENDMENT OF REGULATIONS.

One of the licensees who took part in the conference held on Saturday afternoon between the acting-Director-General of Health, Dr. R. A. Shore, and licensees of a majority of private maternity hospitals under the Social Security Act in the Auckland area, stated that several proposed amendments had been suggested to Dr. Shore.

It was stated on behalf of a number of those present that the amendments were considered essential, and that if they were made the principal objections to the present conditions of contract would be removed.

Dr. Shore, who had previously explained the conditions and regulations governing maternity hospital contracts. promised that the representations would be considered.
