DEATH FROM INJURY. EXPLOSION IN QUARRY. MAORI'S LK<; AMPUTATED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) "WHAXGAREI, this day. Admitted to the Whangarpi District Hospital yesterday morning suffering from a serious injury to his right leg as a result of a quarry explosion at Ruatangata, Mr. "William Kaire, a Maori, died at 1.30 a.m. to-day. Mr. Kaire was working in Going's lime works when an explosion occurred. He was alone at the. time, and when help arrived he was found to have lost a great dcalcif blood. Upon admission to the hospital it was found necessarv to amputate the leg. An inquest was opened this morning before Mr. G. H.
