NOT YET RESUMED.

British Trade Talks With Germany. RUNCIMAN NEGOTIATIONS. British Official Wireless. RUGBY, May 10. Answering in the House of Commons a question regarding trade negotiations with Rumania, the President of the Board of Trade, Mr. Oliver Stanley, said that, as the negotiations -were still in progress, he was not in a position to make a statement, but the matter was being expedited as far as was possible, and he hoped to be able to make a statement in a short time. Mr. Stanley was asked if, in view of Herr Hitler's declaration that he desires a peaceful evolution of the European tension, Mr. Stanley was proposing the resumption of trade discussions with Germany. The Minister replied: "As the honourable member knows, the trade discussions had to be> interrupted as the result of the European tension produced by Germany's annexation of Bohemia and Moravia. Whenever this tension abates I shall be glad to see the discussions resumed with the view to improving trade relations between Britain and Germany."
