THE HEALTH SCHEME.

Three hearty cheers for the 400 CTiristchtirch women who are refusing to register and pay the social security levy! Who wants a universal free medical service, anyway? It Iβ to be hoped that men and women in other centres will now oppose the scheme. There are thousands of people who do not want State.control of their doctors, with the opportunity it would provide for every inquisitive clerk who sees a familiar name' to look up particulars of our ailments. Besides, doctors are far too busy to waste time -nllino- in forms and answering questions that their professional oaths require them to keep to themselves. HancU off the doctors, and no interference with the present excellent free service for those who need it. S. B. STRAXGE.
