In the consideration of remits particular stress was laid on the need for increased library facilities and ' >r some satisfactory method of appoint-nent of secondary teachers. The report of the film appreciation committee was presented by Mr. L. B. Qiiartermain, who said the committee was gratified to note the interest taken in its work by an increasing number of teachers and their evident desire to avail themselves of the committee's help in moulding the film taste of their pupils. The majority of boys and girls had no really satisfactory" guidance as to what films to see, and they were surprisingly keen to have some guidance It was worth while just to introduce them to first-rate films, just as it was worth while to introduce them to firstrate books.
