Helensville Wedding.

OPIE— RIMMER. BRIDE IN PEARL SATIN. A wedding of interest to many people in New Zealand took place when Miss Joan Rimmer, only daughter of "Sir. and Mrs. W. Rimmer, of Jk'arakrti, Helensville, was married to Mr. Brian Opie, son of Mrs. Opie, of l'alnieislon North. Tn glorious sunshine the wedding was held in the little Anglican church at Parakai, and the service was fully choral. Beautiful blooms were used for decora]>urposes, and the altnr was exquisitely arranged in pastel blooms. The lovely bridal gown of pearl-tinted slipper satin was made on classic lines with an attractive hcort-sliaped neckline. The corsage of the bodice and sleeves were finely quilted, while the long train was allied to the flowing skirt. A coronet of opalescent orange blossom kept in place her beautiful veil of Brussels lace, and she carried a bouquet of water lilies. Attending the bride wen . Miss Lindsay McLeod (cousin) and two flower girls, Mary Adlington and Sheila McLeod. The former wore an attractive frock of delphinium blue slipper satin made on bouffant lines, while (he waistline and the deep hem of the skirt were quilted. Her headdress comprised cyclamen

ostrich feather tips, and her bouquet was of the Miuio toniiius. The younger girls wore picture frocks of stiffened net over slipper satin, the same shade as worn by the bridesmaid. Cyclamen velvet sashes tied their waists, and blue poke bonnets were trimmed with cyclamen ostrich tips. Posies of the same shades were carried. The bride s father pave her away, ;:nd Mr. McSkiniminjr was best man. The reception after the ceremony was held in the spacious lounge and lawns of Parakai House, over 200 guests attending. The floral decorations comprised numerous howls of lute roses, a largo silver and white wedding liell and all shades of blue and white flowers. Mix, Kinimer (bride's mother) received the ■■nests in a palmalilac flat erepe cut on graceful lines. A black velvet hat an<l fox fur cape completed with a bouquet of Proton. The bridegroom's mother wore a gown of grape wine shaded erepe and hat to match. She completed her toilette with a spray of irises.
