ESCAPED FROM CUSTODY.

YOUNG MEN RECAPTURED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTU, Wednesday. Two young men who escaped from custody at Waikeria Borstal institution on April 28, about mid-day and were recaptured at 7 p.m., were brought before Mr. W. H. Freeman, S.M., in the Te Awamutu Court to-day. They were William Arthur Tonks and Trevor James Porter. The police said Tonks was before the Court laet February for a similar offence, when he had six months added to hie period of detention. Both prisoners were sentenced to six months' detention, but the term is to be concurrent with their existing sentences. •
