JUNIOR COMPETITIONS.

NAVAL ENGAGEMENTS MADE. REGRADINGS AND, TRANSFERS. Mr. A. L. Simmonds presided at last night's meeting of the juuior management board of the Auckland Rugby Football Union, when arrangements for the season were finalised. It was decided to play the following rounds:— Junior Grade. —A section: Two rounde and four Saturday*. B section: Two rounds and two Saturdays. Third Grade. —A section: Two rounds and two Saturdays. B section: Two rounde and two Saturdays. Intermediate.—A section: Two rounds and four Saturdays. B section: Two rounds and four Saturdays. Fourth Grade. —A section: Three rounds. B section: Two rounds and four Saturdays. Fifth Grade.—Two rounds. Sixth Grade. —Four rounds. Lieutenant Scott, of H.M.S. Leander, conferred with the board with a view to engagements between the Navy and junior teams. Satisfactory arrangements were made and naval teams will be seen in action frequently during the season. Regradingg Granted.—M. Leyland, Grammar, intermediate to fourth grade; L. Cleave, College Rifles, third grade to intermediate. The application made for a regrade from the junior to fourth by D. R. Ryan was refused. Regradings were granted to the following players subject to requests being produced from the elubg concerned: —F. M. Whitcombe. Northeote third grade to Parnell intermediate grade; S. Smith. Suburbs junior grade to Grafton third grade. Transfers Approved.—S. Smith, to Grafton; D. R. Ryan, Eden to Technical. Transfers granted subject to the production of clearances:—F. M.
