FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist iMued to the •' Auckland Star'» this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to «a far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to moderate westerly to south-westerly winds. Weather changeable, with occasional showers, but gradually improving. Temperatures cool. Seas slight on the East Coast and moderate to rather rough on the West Coast. An anti-cyclone is now advancing ncress the south Tasman Sea, but still another secondary is passing in the south. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gun was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-west, moderate; sea, slight; weather, cloudy, with scattered showers; visibility, fair: barometer, rising.
