ASSOCIATION'S OFFICERS. The second annual meeting of the Onchimpa Businessmen's .Association, held last nijrht, was presided over by -Mr. T. H. Ashe. The association, the report stated, came into existence on the occasion of the installation of the improved lighting scheme in Queen Street. Onehunj-a. The venture had been a great pik-ccs.*, both as an illumination of the shops and financially. The total receipts for the year amounted to £3<ifi 14/11, and left a credit balance of £63 14/1. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Suggestions were made for the promotion of better trading in Onehunirn and as a etep in that direction it w«« resolved, "That, for the convenience c' the public, all ehops ehould remain o|i on Saturday mornings." The election of officers resulted a.= follows:— Pi eeident, Mr. T. H. Ashe; vice-president, Mr. J. Pilkington; hon. secretary, Mr. V. G. Thorpe; hon. treasurer, Mr. H. Clarkson. Mr. C.
