WEATHER FORECAST.

FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist Issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather' forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to fresh south-easterly to easterly winds. Some light showers or drizzle are still probable in the north, but the weather otherwise will bo fair to fine and cold. Seas moderate to rather rough on the east coast, and slight on the west. There is very little change In the situation, an intense anti-cyclone covering the Dominion with its centre east of the South Island. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. I'he following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to—day ;—— Wind, east south-east, fresh; sea n ?°.i erale: we«ther, fine and clear; visibility, good; barometer, rising.
