Kaher, leader of the Queensland Country party, stated that Sir Earle Page, leader of the Australian Country party, has given the Queensland Central" Council of the party a pledge that he -will propose to the Prime Minister. Mr. R. G. Menzies, the formation of a national Government. the Primp Minister to be elected by a joint meeting of all parties prepared to co-operate. This would mean the United Australia party and the Country party, as the Labour party will definitely not join in such an arrangement.
